I am utterly and absolutely brought to tears. Just when I do not know how to be in this world anymore, a poet arises. A gift presents itself. A lesson is offered. Thank you, Elizabeth 🙏♥️

New molds to break my friend. Thanks for bringing us 'thinky' things worth revisiting.

Elizabeth Beggins's avatar

Thanks, Kate. When you have an extra moment, let me know what molds are breaking. I'm afraid I don't quite get the reference. But thank you, thank you, for thinking alongside me. 🧡

only meant in a positive and enthusiastic way my friend- YOU are breaking your writing mold with your shift to poetic form this week.

Ah...there we go! Definitely got the positive intention (one of your many gifts). Thanks, Kate.

I appreciate the comment, Ann. I'll have to sit a bit longer with the notion of it being brave. Thanks for joining the conversation.

I love the idea of words, precipitating out of the silence of that old meeting house. It's like rain. Or like a tiny "big bang" - there is nothing; then there is a universe, and we call it a poem. Thank you, Elizabeth, for your poem and for the link - and for reminding us how to give witness to the parts of ourselves we find, sometimes suddenly, blindly. Rain on!

A tiny big bang. I'm going to hold onto that one for...ever! This is such a supportive comment, Stewart, and poetic unto itself. That does not surprise me, coming from you. Just acknowledging my appreciation. Be well!
