Hilarious. 😂

I always think of what I should have said after the fact, but wouldn’t it have been delicious if you had taken the damaged flower out of the bouquet and handed it to her, saying “Here. It’s perfect now.” And then asked for the full price! 😆

People. We cant live with them. We can’t live without them.

I do like the idea of creating additional paperwork for the ones we can’t live with. Do unto others exactly what they are trying to do unto you!

Love love love this! I think a bit of privilege is thrown into the mix.

Also, our first potato harvest this year was so sad we decided to try again. We shall see and will let you know.

And once again, this morning, the universe has responded to my honest (and daily repeated) plea to help me be a good person! Thank you always for the inspiration:)

Kind hearts... legitimate deals ...and any melancholy appreciation have blown away with the wind... My personal cry.... Is that I have been a customer of a local exterminator for 51 years... This week they came for regular inspection and discovered that some of the vents that they had put in 15 years ago were now loose... After a brief discussion he said they could replace or make better for only $500... Not much of a guarantee or warranty... So I said okay and then he writes me a contract and makes me sign it telling me he needs a down payment... I said I have been with his company over 50 years ...can't you trust me for 2 weeks and let me pay it all at 1 time... He assured me that something probably could be worked out but later I received a call from his supervisor.... She informed me that they would need my "massive" ( lol) down payment of a $100 to buy the supplies... And that she was sorry but this was the rule.... How many times can you say BS..... Courtesy and respect and loyalty seem to be BSing away in the wind.... I'm getting where I don't like anybody anymore... These folks have become a real "pest."

I absolutely love this! I have been stunned into silence by the "requests " some have made at farmers markets or craft shows! I remember a garbage pick up company in CT. that had a slogan on their trucks..." Satisfaction guaranteed or double your garbage back". I do (!) like the comment of pulling the broken stemmed flower and exclaiming it "perfect!"...although I might then charge an extra "handling fee"!

First off, how cool that you grew all those crops and flowers! And then you can eloquently write about these clueless people in such an amusing and instructive way, too. It’s almost unfair you have such diverse talents, my friend. As for the fools, I often have pity for them. I wonder if they know or care that the rest of us are shaking our heads in bewilderment at their behavior. Someday they might get a clue.

One of the headlines in the NYT lately was "it's not your imagination, people are getting ruder." And, IMHO far more self-centered, your list idea is perfect, but we'd have to text it to those people who never even look up from their phones after they bumped into you.....

All we can be is better. Love your final paragraph. ~J
